Product Handling, Environmental & Quality Support

Technical Service and Quality Downloads:

Our Refinery Services business has established partnerships with many North American refineries to provide services for emissions reduction by processing Hydrogen Sulfide (H2S) gas. This sour gas stream (H2S) is a byproduct of oil and natural gas refining processes. We have developed the necessary technology to effectively extract the sulfur molecules from the refinery’s sour gas stream through a caustic scrubbing process and return clean gas to the refinery. We have the ability to provide complete emissions control for this H2S stream.

In addition to our ability to remove these dangerous gases from the environment, the hallmark of our company’s values is operating safely, reliably and in an environmentally responsible manner. The Genesis Energy stewardship program has been designed to teach and reinforce safe product transportation, handling, storage, and application through on-site training, technical data and presentations for your personnel. Resources for learning about safe handling or simply reviewing safe handling information to avoid complacency in your workplace are readily available. We continuously seek to improve customer awareness and knowledge of safe product handling and storage.

In an effort to ensure safe operations and proactive behaviors, the Refinery Services Technical Service Team will offer their time to review customer and carrier procedures and make recommendations to enhance the safety within workplaces where NaHS and NaOH are handled. Our Refinery Services business typically requires on-site risk assessments yearly so that we can assist customers with recommendations for understanding the best methods of handling our products.

Our technical service support team has knowledge and experience in sodium and sulfur management and is available to make recommendations to customers regarding storage tank specifications, the unloading of trucks and railcars, safety and handling, product applications, and training programs. Our Refinery Services business gladly assists customers in properly receiving, handling and using the products as part of our commitment to stewardship.
