ESG Oversight

Board of Directors
  • The Genesis Energy Board of Directors is committed to not only understanding how Genesis Energy’s ESG performance affects business results but to using Genesis Energy’s ESG performance to improve business results.
  • The Board of Directors regularly assesses ESG risks and opportunities relative to Genesis’ overall business strategy and reviews performance metrics.
  • The Board of Directors assesses company results relative to safety and health targets in short term and long term compensation calculations.
Chief Executive Officer
  • The Genesis Energy Chief Executive Officer establishes the company’s ESG strategy which includes identifying both internal and external stakeholders and opportunities for engagement.
  • The Chief Executive Officer reviews and approves the company’s ESG disclosures.
Senior Vice President, Finance and Corporate Development
  • The Senior Vice President, Finance and Corporate Development serves as the ESG Program Executive Sponsor.
  • As the Executive Sponsor for the Genesis Energy Program, the Senior Vice President, Finance and Corporate Development is responsible for ensuring that the Company’s ESG initiatives align with the ESG strategy.
  • The Senior Vice President, Finance and Corporate Development provides ongoing direction to the Senior Manager, ESG regarding the Genesis ESG Program.
  • The Senior Vice President, Finance and Corporate Development is responsible for approving ESG initiatives and goals and providing regular updates to the Chief Executive Officer and Board of Directors regarding the company’s progress concerning ESG initiatives.
  • The Senior Vice President, Finance and Corporate Development Corporate Development identifies key external stakeholders and directs engagement regarding Genesis’s ESG disclosures.
Senior Manager, Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG)
  • The Senior Manager, ESG develops and implements the Genesis Energy ESG Program by working with internal subject matter experts and senior management.
  • The Senior Manager, ESG gathers, tracks and reports data for review by the ESG Executive Sponsor and suggests relevant ESG disclosures for consideration by the Executive Sponsor, the CEO and, as applicable, the Board of Directors.
  • The Senior Manager, ESG identifies ESG topics and trends that are important to the company and to investors and suggests enhancements or modifications to the Genesis Energy ESG Program to the Executive Sponsor.
  • The Senior Manager, ESG monitors the company’s progress in carrying out its ESG initiatives.
  • The Senior Manager, ESG coordinates the development of stakeholder communications and provides updates to the ESG Program Executive Sponsor.
