Our Sulfur Services business is a leading global partner to the oil refining and natural gas production industries, providing solutions to extract and manage sulfur and sodium products and solutions. We currently provide services to refineries and premier petrochemical facilities.
Our experienced team offers a wide range of support and expertise in sulfur removal, including engineering, logistics, and technical support.
For over 30 years, our sulfur services business, operating as TDC, has partnered with North American refineries and petrochemical facilities. We use our emissions reduction technology to process their sulfur-rich acid gas streams, including hydrogen sulfide (H2S) gas streams, which are byproducts of oil and natural gas refining processes. We have developed proprietary technology to effectively extract sulfur molecules from sour gas streams and then return the gas to our partners for further processing.
TDC offers a variety of services, including the design, construction, and operation of sodium hydrosulfide (NaHS) processing units. We also help our refinery and industrial customers manage their inventory of caustic soda and NaHS at their sites.
Our process can be designed to operate in addition to a traditional Sulfur Recovery Unit (SRU) or Claus Unit, providing an opportunity for redundant processing capacity which can save future capital, maintenance costs, and operating costs.
The TDC process is a closed loop system that reduces the generation of greenhouse gases (CO and CO2) or the creation of pollutants such as SOx and NOx, providing a more environmentally friendly solution versus traditional sulfur recovery methods.
TDC’s comprehensive network of plants and terminals are located near vital railways, waterways, and roads, providing expedited product delivery to customers around the world. Our integrated logistical management, including product transportation, storage, and custom managed supply chain services, helps keep our customers focused on key operations, maximizing their efficiency, time, and resource management.
TDC has an internal logistical planning team that constantly monitors the network to ensure that time-sensitive orders are met. In addition, our customer service staff is available 24 hours a day / 7 days a week to address any customer needs. Wherever the location may be, TDC’s highly trained and specialized team is available to service your needs.
TDC’s product stewardship program has been designed to teach and reinforce safe product transportation, handling, storage, and application through on-site training, technical data, and presentations for our customers. Resources for learning about best practices, including the safe handling of our products, are readily available. We continuously seek to improve customer awareness and knowledge of safe product handling and storage.
In an effort to ensure safe operations and proactive behaviors, TDC’s technical services team will offer their time to review customer and carrier procedures and make recommendations to enhance safety within workplaces where sodium hydrosulfide (NaHS) and caustic soda (NaOH) are handled. TDC typically encourages on-site risk assessments annually so we can assist customers with recommendations for understanding the best methods of handling our products.
Our technical services team has knowledge and experience in sodium and sulfur management and is available to make recommendations to customers regarding their storage specifications, unloading of trucks and railcars, safety and handling procedures, product applications, and training programs. TDC gladly assists customers in properly receiving, handling, and using the products as part of our commitment to product stewardship.
